Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial Hall is a part of the cultural fabric of Pune. It was founded by Mr. Atur Sangtani in 1971, with all proceeds from the theatre going directly towards his Charitable Trust ‘Atur Foundation’. This family tradition continues even today.
‘Nehru Hall’, as it is fondly known, has a capacity of 718 seats, stalls and balcony included. It has been home to plays, musicals, school concerts, stand-up comedy, seminars, cultural programs, book launches, and much more.
This heritage landmark has welcomed artists from across India and overseas. From international productions to local theatre, from Shakespeare to Bollywood, Nehru Hall has celebrated the Arts in every form, language and genre.
Amenities also include Centralised Air Conditioning, modern make-up rooms, luxury washrooms, special VIP and waiting rooms, a state-of-the-art sound and lighting system and a snack bar.
